Moving out

Dear readers,

I’ve been wondering what I should do with this blog. Right after his death it felt appropriate to tell his friends and you readers about what had happened to him but I feel I cannot remain here too long. To step forward in my own life, I think it will be better to create my blog. I also didn’t want to see my name shown as a writer which should be his name.

So I’m going to set up my own blog separately so please drop a comment if you are curious. I won't publish your comment if it includes your email address. If I don’t know you please introduce yourself with a few lines. Thank you for supporting me everyone and hopefully I’ll see you somewhere soon.

Dear Edera,

I have so much enjoyed reading about your experiences following the loss of Iain. For me personally it has been an opportunity to share in something very precious. This may sound strange, given the difficult and painful things you have been writing about, but for you to be so open has enabled us to somehow be part of what has been happening. These times show us all so clearly what is important.
I am very much looking forward to reading Edera's blog, so please email me when you launch it.

With good wishes

Bob

Dear Edera,
I look forward to reading your blog. It has been wonderful to be part of this transition, to sit beside you (literally at times) and walk on after Iain's death.

He has left a fantastic record of his life in Japan, as well as his thoughts and his insights on life and culture generally. The list goes on.

Little House is a wonderful legacy - your blog will build and grow to be one too. For your children and grandchildren.
